Hein Hundal and Carl Cotner are mathematicians who worked at the Pennsylvania State University.   (Carl’s still works there.)

Hein’s academic background is applied numerical analysis, approximation theory, engineering, and computer science. He has worked for financial, gaming, academic, and engineering companies. He has published approximately 20 articles on approximation theory.

Carl received his Ph.D. from Berkeley where he studied number theory. He has worked for Internet and engineering companies and is on the faculty at Penn State.

They have done several radio shows with their friend Jason Kolker
